I agree, but I also think that if there is a reason they are attached to a particular place, they will probably remain there. They could be waiting for someone to meet them or come for them there. If they are there because of a living person, (loved one or such) then I believe that if that person moves on so might the spirit. In some cases, if they experienced a terrible death at a particular place, they can sometimes haunt that place until somehow they are released to move on. If there are more than one spirit haunting the same place it may last a very long time or until the place has been torn down. These are just my thoughts on the subject, but with all my experiences and knowledge on this subject, these are my own findings. For instance, the place where I was born was haunted shortly after my birth, (by three days) and remains haunted today. The haunted farm house is still haunted and had been so for over 100 years now. I am pretty sure they are the same spirits haunting the place.
