Because of the lack of debate topics. Vampires, in the modern sense, blood sucking corpses. The old sense being that derived from vampyre, meaning someone to fear; for example myself having large canines and the 'evil eye'.
Exist or don't exist?

I believe vampirism is a fetish of sorts, or some type of medical defiency. Thats just my opinion.

I would have to agree with knightrider. I know that there are groups or cults that worship vampires and therefore drink blood. sometimes each others. They even sleep by day and do their thing by night. I don't know any personaly, but I watched a documentary years ago on this.

Well, to state my personal opinion, I've never seen anything beyond people pretending to be vampires even to the point of drinking blood(video not in person). So I'm gonna have to say, no, not unless the're hiding it really good.

Well I do know in the alternative lifestyle what I mean by alternative is BDSM is that there are some that are into bloodletting so that in itself is vampirism in the slightest form, also I should mention that some do like to suck blood.

Well, partially... I have actually done some research on this. I believe Vampyres do exist, but not as the legends say. I found that Vampyrism as actually a feasible disease. Bear in mind that the following is not confirmed. This is my conlusion, drawn from data. the disease is transfered through hallowpoint canine teeth, like snakes. it is produced like venom. That explains the need for massively sharp canine teeth. The reason for the need to drink blood is a lack of a vital component in it, like perhaps hemoglobin. Low tolerance to light, is most likely due to a lack of the proper white blood cells to block UV out.
But they have no such powers like flight, shapeshifting, turning into mist... That's my two cents.
