The following is a guide to the paranormal and crypto zoology. I will try to update, correct and add source information (I apologize for the lack of sources, I wrote a lot of this when I was younger and a lot of it long after seeing or reading source, if you know where information came from please inform me. I desire to give due credit. Much of this is common information, but I know that not all of it is and should like to have those sources.)
Key:
* Commonly believed phenomenon or creature in certain regions
** Commonly believed phenomenon or creature
*** Proven phenomenon or creature
Carpet Worms
This is my purely theoretical explanation for why there are always holes in library floors. They’re like Arabian sand worms only smaller. I think they eat book worms or something like that. (see SAND WORMS)
***Chimera (Technical)
Chimera is a Greek word for made of many parts. Chimeras are creatures possessing more than one genetic code. This can occur in the womb when to embryos unite. Human chimeras may or may not have outward signs of their condition. This condition has on occasion caused parents grief when genetic testing showed their children not to be theirs because their reproductive DNA differed from their surface DNA. It is believed that many who have this condition do not know it.
“I am my own twin” Discovery Science/Medical Channel Special, multiple air times.
Chimera (Traditional)
Found in Greece, the chimera has the heads of a hawk or an eagle, a snake, a goat and a lion. It has the tail of a goat or a lion or sometimes both. The snakehead is sometime believed to be on the tail end and the goat head isn’t always agreed to be there. It may have the wings of an eagle or a hawk. The Chimera feeds on goats or people if goats are rare. It is always traveling to find new pray and generally hide in caves.
*Chupacubra
The chupacubra is a Mexican demon that feeds on the blood of goats and small animals, leaving them mutilated and bloodless. Often there is an 8-15 inch circular hole on the animal’s soft underside. Their coloring and description appears to vary. They may live in caves. Officials often attribute attacks to natural predators, blowflies, and cults. There are no known human attacks.
